Neopian Addicts Anonymous
I started this community a while ago, but have just recently gotten it up and running. It's a neopets trading site for everyone to join.|
Please feel free to join and post pets you have up for trade.
I really like the organization you have for your community. It drives me nuts when comms have "anyone can make any tag" tags bc it gets all jumbled, repeated, and such. :)
is set up that way now because there are so many new tags that need to be added that it's too much work for this one little mod. Go get tagging and I will weed out the jumbled/repetitive tags.
lol, I wasn't referring to this community. It's too small for it to really be an issue at this point.
Yeah, I know like pick_a_pet. I noticed it has many tags that makes searching difficult
Tbh, I don't search PAP, I was more thinking of Neopian_Adults with that comment. The whole reason tags were implemented were for "easier answers", but
1. Most people forget to tag (I know I do sometimes)
2. When people do remember and can't find the exact wording, they make a new one (there are a LOT of tags to go through).
3. The mod/s don't go through and tag the untagged (but need to be tagged) entries.
Which renders the tags useless.
That's funny I was just checking Neopian_Adults when I read this. This is why I'm trying to keep all posts moderated as of now. I don't really need to search tags in NA, though, so I don't mind all the tags.
lol! It only bugs me when I'm looking for a question that I know was asked earlier. The community is "too active" to not have a working tag system for that situation (which happens often bc a lot of people get very *butthurt* over repeated questions). Honestly, all it would take is the mods going through and just making all the generic tags possible, then allow anyone to tag the entries, but only with the preset available tags. (That's how the sims communities I'm in have it set up, and it works really well.)

I wouldn't want to be the mod who has to take care of all those tags XD And the comm really is too active for its own good. I'd just delete all tags and start fresh.
That's what I meant. Just delete and then make the ones that would be needed.
